The recital Esencia de mi Tierra/Essence of my Land, had its premiere on October 31th, 2013 at the International Festival of Mayan Culture in Yucatan, Mexico.

 

 

Soprano Claudia Rodríguez and guitarist Cecilio Perera were born in Yucatan and they have concluded them musical studies in Conservatory of Liceu in Barcelona, Spain and Mozarteum University in Salzburg, Austria, respectively. They increase them International Career after winning several Music Competitions and getting performances in many countries around the world.

 

 

This recital has fifteen Mayan, Spanish and Mestizo songs, that, along with its own visual animation, tell us historical facts about Mayan Culture, Conquest, and two love stories showing the Mestizaje occurred in Mayan Land. The concert concludes sealing forever these two cultures through the music.
